Dynamic Discussion: 1946

Heartland Presbyterian Church (Clive, IA) is celebrating their one year anniversary of being a member church of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, an organization focused around providing educational resources and exposure for LGBTQ+ folks involved in religious spaces.

To mark the milestone, you are invited to a Dynamic Discussion event on March 26, from 6-8 PM. The evening will begin with a screening of “1946: The Mistranslation that Shifted Culture.” 1946 is a feature documentary that follows the story of tireless researchers who trace the origins of the anti-gay movement among Christians to a grave mistranslation of the Bible in 1946. Following the showing, will be structured small-group discussion of the film to serve as an opportunity to learn and listen to other’s stories.

The event will be held in the church sanctuary. All are invited! No registration required.
