LESS THAN 1% SERVE IN OUR COUNTRY’S ARMED FORCES.
Across the nation, they serve in our Houses of Worship, in various leadership positions with adults and youth and join in our ministry outreaches. We may know them personally, but how does the remaining 99%, including pastors and ministry teams, give spiritual care and support to the unique dual role of Citizen-Warrior, as in normal service they prepare for, serve in or return from military deployment? How do we care for spouses and children, so they also flourish and succeed?
It’s a whole other world of life, faith and duty that most of us have little understanding–until now.
Join other faith leaders gaining resources from those serving our military as Chaplains from the major branches of service. Military Chaplains, besides providing spiritual care for diverse faith practices, offer a holistic perspective on care in practical and social needs and issues including addressing suicide prevention and sexual abuse. See flyer for additional information and registration.
Lunch is provided. The day is capped off with a MILITARY HELICOPTER RIDE around DM (Military Mission & Weather Permitting)
THIS EVENT IS FREE with advanced registration by September 5, 2024. Register here.
