Shide by Shide Concert

Jun 6, 2023

Sidney Shide and Jennifer Shide will perform a varied program on Monday, July 3, at 7 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Des Moines. Sixteen-year-old Sidney will play harpsichord, organ and piano. He will bring to life music written by renowned composers as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Grieg and Vierne. Sidney will accompany his mother Jennifer, a seasoned performer, as she sings “Time to Say Goodbye” “Somebody’s Knockin’ At Your Door” and “I Believe.” Jennifer thinks it is fantastic that her little boy has grown up to be a wonderful performer and is excited to perform in concert with him. A 50+ member choir of friends and family will also perform, singing two selections, one patriotic and the other liturgical. There is something for everyone on this concert program.

Concert Is Free And Open To The Public

A freewill offering will be received. All gifts will go toward Sidney’s music education, music camps, and college. Sidney plans to go to college for music and will be performing to raise money for his music education.
