Job Description
First Presbyterian Church, a member of the Presbyterian Church, USA, is a progressive church in rural Iowa, committed to bring God’s good news of love, compassion, justice, grace and hope to those who most need it.
We seek a quarter time staff person who will help coordinate people and programs in order to spread this good news and help us invite and welcome people not yet in our church to participate in our ministries.
For us, part of being a progressive church means we have been designated as a Matthew 25 church, and this position will help us live into that vision. The three goals of a Matthew 25 church are: 1. Build congregational vitality, 2. Dismantle structural racism, and 3. Eradicate systemic poverty.
