Job Opportunity- AMOS Organizer

AMOS (A Mid-Iowa Organizing Strategy) is hiring an Organizer whose primary responsibility is identifying, training and mentoring potential leaders in Presbyterian and other religious congregations, schools, and nonprofits in Central Iowa. The Organizer will work with these leaders to strengthen their institution and take on economic, social, and political pressures affecting area families. AMOS has a growing membership of 40 community-based institutions who have had success over the past 25 years around a diverse, grassroots agenda including

• Children’s mental health
• Juvenile justice and restorative justice practices in our schools
• Workforce and economic development
• Infrastructure
• Affordable housing and supportive housing services
• Training 1000s of community leaders to act on their own behalf

Starting salary: $50,000 and full benefits
