CROSS Outreach Trivia Night Fundraiser Invitation
Westminster Presbyterian Church will be hosting a CROSS Outreach Trivia Night fundraiser on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the silent auction – with Trivia Games beginning at 6:00 p.m. We will have an exciting competition with our IOWA THEME this year. We are reaching out to organizations and individuals that are partners of CROSS Outreach to ask for support in this effort. Because of COVID, we had to cancel the last two years, but we are looking forward to hosting the event again this year.
The goal of this fundraiser has three components:
1. Raise at least $10,000 for CROSS Outreach.
2. Increase the visibility of CROSS Outreach throughout the community—both for organizations that already support CROSS and for groups or individuals that are not aware of this valuable mission.
3. Provide a fun evening of fellowship and friendly competition for CROSS supporters.
CROSS Outreach Trivia Night will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 4114 Allison Avenue, in Des Moines. Tables of six may be purchased for $85 each, or individual tickets for $15 each. Tables typically fill up quickly, so we encourage you to reserve yours early. We will also have a silent auction during the event as well as prizes for “Most Creative Table Decorations.” See the enclosed flyer for more information. If you would like to donate an item (baseball tickets, gift cards, movie passes etc.) to our silent auction please have these to us by Sunday, April 10th.
The WPC Social Justice Committee is taking care of the details of the evening, but we need your support to make this evening a success! We CHALLENGE each of you to support CROSS Outreach as they “prevent homelessness with compassion.” CROSS Outreach helps families “stay housed” by assisting with rent, security deposits, mortgage, and electric and water bills. In addition, CROSS Outreach provides new backpacks filled with grade appropriate school supplies for more than 1,200 at-risk kids each year.
