Presbyterian Women

Dianne Van Gorp of First Presbyterian Church in Oskaloosa has become the first woman nominated by her church to be honored by the Presbytery Presbyterian Women with the PW Purpose Awards. Dianne was honored at the 2017 Spring Connection of the Presbytery PW that was held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Trinity United Presbyterian in Indianola. You may read what the Oskaloosa First PW wrote to nominate Dianne in the file at the bottom of this article.

The Presbyterian Women (PW) of the Presbytery of Des Moines establishes the PW Purpose Awards.  The PW Coordinating Team recognizes there are women deserving of these awards throughout all the churches of the Presbytery; and are requesting nominations.

The awards will honor women of the Presbytery who have distinguished themselves in one of four categories taken from the PW Purpose statement.  All women who are nominated will be honored.

For the Synod of Lakes and Prairies Presbyterian Women information, you may find the following:

The promotional packet for the 2017 Mission Pledge of Presbyterian Women, PW's annual fund, is now available to download or order. Each PC(USA) congregation, as well as PW treasurers, moderators, Celebration Giving representatives and CCT members will soon receive a packet in the mail.
