“We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today.” – Stacia Tauscher, dancer and artist
On Thursday, August 4, CROSS held the 24th Annual Back to School Giveaway for the children of low and no income families. This year a record number of 1,641 children were provided with a new backpack filled with the basic supplies needed to begin their school year! Although the Giveaway was scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM, parents with children began showing up as early as 10:15 AM waiting in line for nearly five hours in order to receive the supplies their children would need for school.
