OSP Annual Fiesta FunRaiser - a great success!

The Our Sister Parish Fiesta FunRaiser was held on Saturday, October 22 at the Intentional Eucharistic Community, 3300 University Ave, Des Moines.  This is an annual event to raise funds for the El Salvador mission of the Presbytery of Des Moines.  There were great silent auction items, great food and wonderful speakers.

Featured speakers for the evening were Mark Hilliard of Covenant Presbyterian in West Des Moines and Dr. Laua Avitt of Trinity United Presbyterian in Indianola.  Both were delegates on the first OSP Medical Delegation in November of 2015.  Both are participating in the 2016 OSP Medical Delegation, October 25-November 1.  Also speaking on behalf of Art for El Salvador were Niah and Maria Howard of First Presbyterian in Dallas Center.  They reported on the school that was built in the small Salvadoran community of Mediagua in memory of their sister, Sarah Howard.

A big thank you goes to everyone who came to celebrate in support of the Our Sister Parish mission.
