All the Presbytery of Des Moines folks who attended Synod School 2016 stopped long enough to pose for this picture. Synod School was July 24-29, in Storm Lake, Iowa at Buena Vista University. Our Synod of Lakes and Prairies Synod School is the only remaining Synod School in the Presbyterian Church, (U.S.A.) and enrollment for 2016 set an all-time record at 630.  To read more, you may go here

2017 Presbyterian Women Mission Pledge Info

The promotional packet for the 2017 Mission Pledge of Presbyterian Women, PW's annual fund, is now available to download or order. Each PC(USA) congregation, as well as PW treasurers, moderators, Celebration Giving representatives and CCT members will soon receive a packet in the mail.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, there is a new season in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), as witnessed by the actions of the 222nd General Assembly (2016). The body of 594 commissioners who gathered June 18-25 in Portland, Oregon, elected Co-Moderators Denise Anderson and Jan Edmiston, and J. Herbert Nelson as the Stated Clerk. Both were historic, and both signal a new way forward for our church.

 Our Next Stated Meeting Is:

All-Iowa Presbyterian Gathering

Friday & Saturday, June 2-3, 2017

The six Iowa presbyteries are joining together for a weekend of worship, learning, mission, and fellowship.  PCUSA Stated Clerk J. Herbert Nelson will be preaching and speaking as we celebrate our differences and share our common faith as the one Body of Christ.  Come celebrate being Presbyterian in Iowa!  Registration will be taken by each presbytery, and more information will be forthcoming soon!  Save the date for what will undoubtedly be an impacting experience.  The meeting will be hosted by Collegiate & Northminster Presbyterian Churches in Ames, Iowa.
