Latest News

Once again, but for the last time on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, Rev. Bob & Jeanne Burnett hosted a wonderful Christmas luncheon for the retired pastors, spouses and surviving spouses.  Jeanne always outdoes herself each and every year by preparing a scrumptious meal for the entire group of 20-30 folks , depending on how many are able to attend.  The Presbytery staff are always invited and a wonderful time of food, fellowship and singing Christmas carols is had by all!  This was the last one to be hosted by the Burnetts and a big thank-you goes out to them for all the wonderful hosting and fellowship times over the years.  As far as we can estimate, this was the 13th year for them to host.

IT IS WINTER.

She came wearing sandals.  She needs boots.

IT IS COLD.

He has only a sweatshirt.  He needs a coat.

THEY LEFT EVERYTHING BEHIND.

They are strangers in a strange land.  They need help.  they need hope.

The Presbyterian Women (PW) of the Presbytery of Des Moines establishes the PW Purpose Awards.  The PW Coordinating Team recognizes there are women deserving of these awards throughout all the churches of the Presbytery; and are requesting nominations.

The awards will honor women of the Presbytery who have distinguished themselves in one of four categories taken from the PW Purpose statement.  One nomination will be selected from each of the four categories and will be announced at the 2017 PW Spring Connection on April 8, 2017.

Friday & Saturday, June 2-3, 2017

The six Iowa presbyteries are joining together for a weekend of worship, learning, mission, and fellowship.  PCUSA Stated Clerk J.
